Holiday vs Lifetime!

All too often we spend more time planning our annual vacation or mini-break away, than we do planning our lives. Which is quite ironic really given that we are going to spend the rest of our lives in the future, and not on holiday!

Put the holiday brochures down for a moment and spent half an hour writing down the answers to these questions:-

1) Describe an area of your HEALTH where you are most challenged.
2) What would be the cost if you made no changes in this area of your health?
3) How will your LIFE improve once you have made changes in this area?

Now ask yourself the same questions in relation to your CAREER & FINANCES, and then RELATIONSHIPS.

These key areas are integral to your well being and future success. You now know what your choices are costing you, so what are you going to do about them?

It's time to commit to making some changes in your life. You now need to decide what options and possibilities are available to you to move forward. Take a blank piece of paper and, choosing one area you are currently challenged in, write it down in the middle of the page and put a circle around it.

Imagine that circle's a spider's body - at the moment the spider's stuck as it has no legs or feet to help it move. Now spend 10 minutes coming up with 20 options for how you can move forward. This isn't a 'to-do' list, it's purely brain storming to create a range of opportunities that you might later take action on. For every idea you have draw a 'leg' from the spiders body and write down the idea at the end of the line, thus providing your spider with feet! Remember, these ideas can be as left-field as you want, they are purely options, not commitments.

Once you have 20 'legs', and don't stop until you have 20, circle the one that really resonates with you. Which one looks right, feels good, sounds meaningful, and makes sense?

Now decide to act. What immediate action can you take today to put that opportunity into place? No matter how small the action is, it's imperative that you do something about it today!

So go ahead and start planning your future - it's a fun and exciting place to be!! Let us know how you get on.
